Do any parks have one of these?

That thing is a piece of junk. They had it at IAAPA in 2000 and it was down more than it was up.

Maybe because it was new.

~I rode my first coaster June 2001 and since then I have ridden 43 different coasters!

Frontier City, it's called Hangman. It's slow and boring ... S&S's are much better.

Does it launch you like S&S or bring you up slowly?

It's like an S&S Combo Ride. It shoots you up and then bounces once .. pulls you up and drops you ... we didn't have to wait for it, but we only took one ride.

They had one at the Ohio State Fair about 2 years ago, I liked it then.........

Martin's Fantasy Island.

Yeah, Martin's Fantasy Island was to have it in 2001... in fact, they announced it back in March of 2001, was to open in June of 2001, but it ran maybe a couple times...

...they finally said the hell with it, and it was basically closed and now, it was heavily promoted as "New for 2002"... with some little footage taken from last year used in the commercials!

It looks small and looks like junk... but then again, I never rode it... but then again... it's by Chance... doesn't that tell you enough??

-----------------
....Summer is only a short 91 days long. How much of that time are you going to use at the amusement parks??

Is it air powered?

It's a hydraulic catapault driven ride. Seeing as Chance hasn't done anything like this before, I'd think S&S rides would be better.

Then again we have S&S problems like Hypersonic

Can we change the name of Top Gun to your mom so no one wants to ride your mom?

How does a S&S stack up to an Intamin Gyro-Drop?

I would add that the Fabbri drop tower right next to it at IAAPA 2000 was absolutely outstanding. Can't understand why we haven't seen more of those, even at fairs.

That Fabbri tower is one of my favs, right behind PKI's Drop Zone.

The State Fair of Texas, San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo and Houton Livesotck & Rodeo all had one, it'll be back at this year's State Fiar as well.

What's so special about Fabbri's? I've never heard of em.

It's his turn to feast, when you ride the Son of Beast.

For a portable drop ride, I found that outstanding. There's just something about it. I got some great airtime on every ride i took, except one where we got stapled.

For one thing, it stops with magnets, so it's smooth. Also, it has compressed plungers at the top so you're not just dropped, you're pushed.

There are a few photos of the one I rode here:

It says the image has been leeched from coasterbuzz?
If that ride is what I think it is, they have one at Trimper's Amusements in Ocean City, MD.
