Dissapointed with TDS Raging Spirits

Initial construction pics, press releases, etc. had me excited with this new coaster...

Now, seems like all it is is a clone of DLP Indiana Jones coaster, which in itself is a rough, boring version of the first Pinfari looping coaster.

The problem with the DLP Indiana Jones coaster is that the layout is very boring: its starts with 2 Zyklon/Wildcat like drops... a straight track segment running the entire lenght of the ride into a tight banked turn/drop into the loop. After that, 540 helix into trim brake... zero airtime bunny hop and 2 turns ends it... I just hope most of the money (75 millions!) went into theming it into the ground (which seems to have happened) and with spectacular effects.

Yes, it appears a clone, and that sucks, but it's not the new star attraction at the place...just a "minor ride" alongside the new $160us Million Tower of Terror. Oh if the California Tower could be what that was is going to be!

Either way, I think Raging Spirits will be a nice ride with cool theming. No star attraction (it's not supposed to be), but a nice addition to the greatest Disney park out there!

Well, if you think about some of Disney's other coasters, Matterhorn, Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, it is definitely not about the coaster ride. If you took away the theming for any of these, a Zyclon would give any of them a run for their money.

And yah, a clone sucks for enthusiasts who are fortunate enough to be able to get to Japan let alone Paris. :)

From what I hear, it will have a clone layout, but there will be new effects, such as fire and water that isn't in Indiana Jones.

Speeking of Indy...they have recently returned the trains to the forward facing position. Could they possibly be hopping to get some of the same TDS theming added to the their ride?

As for Raging Spirits, I would be thrilled to be in Japan riding it. Clone or not.

If its a clone, then Raging Spirits will unrideable, due to headbanging...

Indy at DLP? I'm surprised its still open.

Hmmm...I thought Indiana Jones at DLP was just fine. It wasn't the most exciting attraction I've ever ridden, but I thought it was both smooth and a lot of fun. I don't get the comments regarding headbanging, and I'm usually one of the first to complain about roughness.

What's so wrong with clones? Anytime a park builds a ride that has the same layout as anther coaster on the other side of the world it officially sucks.
