DisneySea has amazing first year while Universal Studios Japan suffers

Tokyo DisneySea, an aquatic-themed amusement park on the outskirts of Japan's capital, bravely opened its doors last September in the middle of an economic slump marked by the reluctance of Japanese consumers to part with their money. A year later, DisneySea has proved a runaway success. The long-standing Tokyo Disneyland is next door and together the two parks aim to attract 25.5 million visitors this year -- equivalent to about a fifth of Japan's population.

I hope Disney makes more parks like this and stops building parks like WDS in Paris and coasters/rides with minimal theming.

This is what happens when people who know their stuff are running parks(unlike disneyland). They also spared no expense on this park. It just goes to show you that if you do something right the first time you have no problems.
