Came across this about disneyseas new coaster going to cost 8 billion yen and have a vertical 360 loop with fire and water effects. Anyone else heard anything about coaster and sorry if this is a repeat topic.

Knowing Disney and their intensive theming, I could see a coaster project running $67.7 million dollars (Converted via http://www.xe.com/ucc/convert.cgi), especially when you take into consideration the high prices for everything over there...

Never heard of this before. But fire and water sound like pretty nifty additions to a rollercoaster.

My guess is the coaster will be an "Indiana Jones" coaster ala Disneyland Paris and the drop ride will be Tower of Terror ala the other Disney parks.
Hmmm. Remember, SD2K reportedly cost only 5.5 billion yen, so for 8 billion I'd expect to see something considerably more substantial than DLP's Indiana Jones Coaster, which is a lightly themed off the shelf mine ride.

Though I agree it's still likely to carry an Indiana Jones theme.

As for ToT, the main difference between it and the other incarnations is that it will eschew the Hollywood/Spanish/Art Deco style in favor of a New York High Rise Hotel setting.

Also, expect it to be the DCA 'self contained shaft' version of the ride (which doesn't have the forward movement through the 4th dimension room)

Touchè, teacher, touchè.

Actually, I heard that it (TOT) will be the same as the WDW version, with the show scenes, not the butchered DCA version. Knowing how they go all out there (and knowing the price tag!) I'd expect the former. Here's hoping! :)

The $67M also includes the surrounding area and a new restaurant, as far as I know.

I'd expect them along the lines of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril in theme, but with the scale of California Screamin', if I had to guess.

I waited for 7.5 hours through four tornado warnings and all I have to show for it is this lousy kiddie coaster credit.
