Disney's cross-country advertising

Why do they do this? Both DCA and WDW are advertised everywhere, and whenever I go there(WDW), its ALREADY jam packed with people. Why do they need to stuff even more customers in the parks?

Two things make me high: Coasters and music. Oh, and uh, alcohol. And food. And snowboarding.
Think who ownes them: Disney. That should answer the question by itself.

Yeah, key phrase being "WDW." DCA on the otherhand, isn't quite doing so well. The park is actually doing terrible attendance-wise.

Also, why do products like Coke or McDonalds advertise? Won't they still have millions of customers too?

Maybe we should take a moment and go back to the basic principles of business...
for one thing Disney is doing great attendance wise. And another thing disney is a family park. It is mostly for little kids,as we all know little kids watch a lot of t.v so it is obvious why they advertise cross country.
Well, Scanz - I see your point. Their parks would be stuffed regardless of whether they advertised or not. EVERYONE in the world knows about them, so it does seem like a waste of money.
