Disney's Animal Kingdom turns 15-years-old

It seems only fitting that when Disney’s Animal Kingdom park turns 15 years old on April 22, it will be happening on Earth Day. From the outset, Animal Kingdom’s mission has been to celebrate the world’s vast assortment of animals, both real, mythical and extinct.

Went to this park for the first time last June. Loved it!!!!

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.

I'm glad to hear you liked it. While I feel like they wasted a lot of space doing nothing in that park, I really love Animal Kingdom. It has a feel to it that keeps me coming back.

Animals scare me.

Finding Nemo: The Musical is worth the price of admission alone. But if you like zoos, this is obviously the best zoo ever made. We ended up skipping most of the cool stuff on our last visit because we were so exhausted. But we had a walk down on Everest, which was super cool.

Agreed on Finding Nemo. Absolutely phenomenal. I was pretty cool on the park when it first opened but I've had a great time the past couple of visits.

I think Nemo is the best stage show Disney has done in a US park, past or present. Yes, that includes Aladdin at DCA.

Finding Nemo = Avenue Q at Disney. Only clean, and about fish. Conceptually, it was the perfect way to present the story.
We went to the last show of the day and I was glad. Otherwise I would have waited in line and sat thru every performance leaving no time for anything else. I loved it.

I didn't know Nemo was that awesome. Guess I'll have to go back to Disney now. Darn.

I haven't experienced Nemo yet because I'm still bitter that it replaced the Tarzan show, which was exceptional. ;)

Robert Lopez did the music and lyrics on both Avenue Q and Finding Nemo. You can definitely see similarities aside from people + puppets.
