Disney's Animal Kingdom maintenance worker dies from head injury working on Primeval Whirl

A Disney worker injured Sunday while repairing the Primeval Whirl roller coaster died early today, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office. The worker, identified as 52-year-old Russell Sherry Roscoe of Webster, suffered head injuries Sunday and was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center, according to the sheriff's office. He died there this morning.

I just don't understand how this kind of thing happens, ever. What is it about their maintenance procedures that allow this to happen, twice now? I would first assume that a worker would not be anywhere but a brake run during maintenance testing, and that you would not be permitted to move around the ride otherwise if the lift is engaged.

Very sad. It shouldn't happen ever.

I know that the procedures are present, I've seen them in print. Right at this moment my gut tells me that it's simply a case of them not being followed.
