I am going to CA for a vacation, the first part of April. Has anyone been to the new Disney adventure park? I have heard mixed reactions on the new park. Is it worth the $40 admission? Or should i consider Knotts or SFMM. I am a big Disney fan, but don't want to be disappointed, as i have heard they cut corners on some of the attractions to keep the construction costs down.
I also read that they were having problems with their Roller coasters?
It's a bust! If you're military, stop by a base and get your tix for $30. Or, go to Knott's instead.

Ok, heres the deal. I have been to DCA a few times already. Disney's California Adventure is an OK park at best. It has it's shining moments with awesome rides like SOarin' Over California (icredible), Grizzzly River Run(really exciting) and California Screamin'(nice coaster). Those rides are all excellent. But once you ride those you may find out that there is really not that much more to do. there are some nice 3-D shows in Muppetvision and it's Tough To Be A Bug, but otherwise, thats about it. Except for the tortilla factory :) But honestly, it has some great rides but it is not worth the 43 dollar admission price. So you have to decide if it is worth it to see a few excellent rides and a few very mediocre rides for the 43 dollars. Remember that Disneyland Park across the way is always great and very worth it's admission price! Hope that helped!!
Why would you go to Knott's or DCA over SFMM. I mean that's just a no brainer. Go to SFMM.

Prbably for one thing SFMM is on a huge chunk of aspahalt. DCA is new and he is more than likely getting very tired of riding the same coasters at knotts and SFMM and maybe he just wants to go and check for himself what DCA is like
The person who posted the message said that they were a disney fan, so I would assume they would be somewhat interested in DCA. If you are interested in coasters, go to SFMM, if you like nice themeing and disney style rides go to DCA. Of course Knotts is cool!
I've been to DCA already and I think the park is great. The rides are cool and the shows are cool as well. DCA wouldn't be worth going to if you and whoever is with you does not do every single thing in the park. And we all have to remember that DCA has just opened. There's always room to expand for more rides and attractions. Just because DCA does not have a whole bunch of stuff doesn't mean that it is a bad theme park.

The last time I checked, ALL parks are on a huge chunk of asphalt, including DCA. When was the last time you
walked on a grass or dirt midway? Maybe some parks have more grass than others, but do guests get to walk on it? I didn't think so.
DCA is worth it, if you are a big Disney fan. Don't forget the Sun Wheel. Get a purple car, they swing the most!

SFMM is LONG way from Anahiem depending on traffic of course!
Go to Knotts if you want 2(to 3) SBNO coasters, a boomerang, a fair family steel coaster, and a great woodie. Don't expect anything great about the coasters but GR. Perilous Plunge and Supreme Scream are pretty good too. The rest is ok. Go with DCA or SFMM depending if you want the usual Disney or coasters. Out of the three, I give KBF a 5, DCA a 6.5, and SFMM a 10. Disneyland is a 10 too. If you've been to WDW, the first time I went to Animal Kingdom, I would have given it a 7. Just to show it takes a while for parks to become really great. The other 3 WDW parks are 10 and AK has an 8.5 now. Sorry about all the numbers. :)

ALOT OF PARKS HAVE BRICK LAYERED DOWN, CEMENT OTHER THAN HOT BLACK ASPALT, UNLIKE SFMM.

And DCA is a parking lot. Really, it is! Well, it was.
I guess I missed your point, most people slam SFMM for having not enough grass, not asphalt instead of concrete. Silly me, I thought they were close enough to the same thing. Personally, I like cobble-stones, hardwood and Pergo™!

Thanks for everyones input on Disneys Adventure.
I've heard a lot of positvie and negative about the park. I've decided to visit the park while on vacation next month. I'll let you know what my opinon is of the park when I return. All I hope is that it's warm while I'm there, I live up north in NY and am sick and tired of the snow and cold.
Hope you have a great time.
