State officials gave the go-ahead to open Disneyland's Big Thunder Mountain Railroad after determining the park made the necessary safety improvements ordered in the aftermath of a fatal accident last September.

This is a wonderful thing to hear since there is alot of attractions closed for remodeling, and I will be visiting next friday for a week.
Sorry- isn't it a weird thing to be on a ride and know - there, in that tunnel, that's where the guys brain got smacked!
Maybe I'm oversensitive - but is it really a good thing just to forget about things that happened and cover it up in the good old fun that was there before?
I agree with you superman...having ridden on the ride just a week before the deaths, i wondered the exact same thing. Anyways, I am glad this ride has re-opened even if I do live in the freezing cold in Chicago having to pass by SFGAm with it being closed knowing that there are still parks open on the west coast....you bastards!
