Jeff Reitz recently set a Guinness World Record for most consecutive visits to the Disneyland theme park — with 2,995 straight days of visits. That breaks down to eight years, three months, and 13 days. His last day at the park was March 13, 2020 — the last day before the theme park closed due to the pandemic.

Jeez. I can't even close the activity rings on my Apple Watch every day.
Don't get me wrong, I do love Disneyland. But after three days I'm pretty much ready for something else. I can't imagine going every day for 8 years straight.
Amusement parks in general, and Disney specifically, are nowhere close to making the very short list of things I'd choose to do for 2995 straight days. In fact I'm not sure such a list exists, beyond maybe breathing. I've already done that for at least 8 years (maybe even twice that? Not sure...), which is something I'm proud of. But I'm pretty certain I'll never hold the Guinness world record for it.
Strange. I can’t imagine fighting LA traffic everyday for 8 years jus to get to Disneyland. I’ll bet there were more than a few times he just entered and turned around and left. Just to keep the streak going.
I don't even want to be in my house for that many straight days. See also: pandemic.

Not for me, variety is the spice of life. I’m always ready to leave DLR after a week, and that’s usually with a full day at KBF meaning I’m only spending 4.5 days at the resort.

I think there are treatments for his problem. ;)
Disappointed he let something like a pandemic-related shutdown prevent him from keeping the streak alive.
Per the article:
In the meantime, he has replaced his Disneyland visits with catching up on shows, going to concerts or hikes, and spending time with his girlfriend.
Reitz was disappointed, however, to discover his girlfriend had actually broken up with him in 2015 via a post-it-note on his fridge, and is now happily married with 2 young children. "Chances are I may have passed by them in the park more than once."
Promoter of fog.
I have trouble spending two or three days in the same park. I can't imagine getting to this kind of number.

Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."
Reminds me of how much I loved Disneyland during my first visit two summers ago. But dayum. Still kind of cool, and funny and stuff. I admire people who know what they like.

I resemble that remark!
