Marvel and Walt Disney Imagineering will launch “Disney Kingdoms: Seekers of the Weird” as the first of a new comicbook series in January that will turn its parks into the settings for adventures. Idea is to use the new stories to pull back the curtain on lands, attractions, characters, and worlds of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.

It is a little strange that the first issue creates back-story for a ride that was never built.

I would think they have enough open rides to do stories about that

they would not have to start with one that never opened

(and most have never heard of)

I think it makes sense. The Museum will always have just the right artifact (dinosaur tracks, pirate gear, alien artifacts) to launch an adventure.
