Disney to subpoena documents from governor's office in what it calls a First Amendment lawsuit

While Gov. Ron DeSantis has asked the court to dismiss the suit, Disney sent a notice to DeSantis’ office demanding internal communications, including text messages and emails, and documents regarding the district’s comprehensive plan, the development agreements and the legislation that shifted control of the district to DeSantis.

This reminds me of the scene in A Few Good Men where Tom Cruise is sitting in the bar, and he overhears Sorkin in his cameo talking about making the other party "go blind on paperwork" as a callback to his own line on the softball field. It doesn't seem wise to go after a huge corporation with deep pockets and armies of lawyers. DeSantis has mostly picked on people who can't afford to challenge him, like teachers, local school districts and tenured faculty at various colleges.
