The Disney theme parks will finally join the blogosphere today in an attempt to bring some of the rabid faithful currently chatting at unofficial fan websites under the corporate umbrella. It will have moderated comments.
Read more from The LA Times.
I find it hilarious that they think they can replace the fan sites. They can add value to the fan experience, but Disney rats especially love to have access to unrestricted bitching and moaning. :)

Do you think I would get away with a commenter name like DisneyHater? ;)
Edit: -1 for spelling
I wonder if the "bad language" moderation will replace comments that have other park names with *****'s :)

Actually, that's a very good point. FWIW, Disney fan sites often discuss non-Disney thing a lot, especially the interactions between Universal/IOA and DisneyWorld for the Florida area, and Knott's and DisneyLand (though they are distant, there is a fair amount of crossover). I imagine there won't be much tolerance of HHN threads while trying to push the family oriented Halloween Screams fireworks, for example, though we shall see.
Knott's and Disneyland really aren't distant. They're about 7 miles apart. That's closer than the Magic Kingdom is to Animal Kingdom.
Hi
I don't know if Disney Geeks would gripe about this: http://coasterbuzz.com/Forums/Thread/56551.aspx
