Disney's head of theme parks and resorts. Paul Pressler, is leaving his post for the CEO position at Gap, the retail clothing company. Disney has not yet names a replacement.

Something else to consider here that's also being overlooked- the Disney resort parks are also among the most profitable parts of the Disney empire, and much of those profits, rather than being reinvested into the parks, are being shuffled off to support other branches.

Probably the biggest criticism I've read of Pressler is that he's a "yes-man" to Eisner- following his edicts without question. I don't know how true that is, but to see so much money being funneled out of the parks to other areas and that lack of investment in the parks showing up in so many areas (and yes, it's really obvious when you visit the park). Well, lets just say that hopefully the next person in will be willing to stand up to Eisner a bit more (and be able to get away with it) and be able to reinvest some of that money back into the parks in the forms of improved maintance, employees pay and treatment (such as a decent cafeteria for the DCA employees maybe instead of a closed one?) and some long overdue park improvements and attractions (sorry but summer concerts do not equal added attractions).

All I know is, after talking to several employees at Disneyland/ DCA in various levels, it can't go to much further downhill behind the scenes.
