I've used variations on this law in different states to get stuff from school districts, cities and counties, and they were all quick to comply. These political appointees should know better about using personal email for communication. I mean, "but her emails."

Public Records laws in Florida are pretty black and white If what they allege is true, it should be an easy decision for a court. Now, if they destroyed documents and/or emails (and that can be proven) then the question will be, what will be the penalty?

It is worth nothing that the new administrator for the Oversight District is the former Chair of the Ethics Commission. So, "we didn't know the rules" will be hard to argue.

The cronyism practiced by the Governor is remarkable.
