From the blog post:

Here, guests will find themselves in the middle of the action at two signature attractions: one that lets guests take the controls of Millennium Falcon on a customized secret mission, and an epic Star Wars adventure that puts guests in the middle of a climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance.

I get that. I dropped my WDW AP last year because I couldn't justify the cost when so much of the place was under construction/felt a little stale. That sentiment will absolutely change in the coming years.

I do miss Epcot nights after work in the winter, but the UO parks fit my needs very well right now.

... but way too many of their attractions are movies.

If by movie you mean sitting in a theater style building and watching a screen then they really only have 4 between the parks and two of those are a stretch since you don't actually sit with a theater full of people around you.
