Disney serving trespass notices to third-party guides

Florida police are serving trespass notices to third-party tour guides at Walt Disney World. Disney says the guides are conducting unauthorized commercial activity, though many complain that they've been operating for years without issue.

Read more from Insider via MSN.

When I worked at WDW (and at my current not a theme park job), anyone served with a trespass warning has, at the very least, had a very serious conversation about their conduct and given a chance to correct things. Out of the ordinary law breaking offenses excluded, of course.

Headline of article in OP notes "suddenly and without warning." May be the case that reflects bias of the third party guides interviewed for the story. Though expect that Disney spokesperson (who is quoted in the article) would have mentioned something about advance warnings. Disney may have provided warnings that just weren't part of the story.

Legally no difference though. Even if you argue Disney's failure to enforce for an extended period of time modified the stated rule, Disney can still change it at any time.

Does impact the Richard factor to me though. Assuming no warnings, why not give warnings so that people could stop before being banned for life (though they can appeal after 1 year)? Presumably these people love Disney parks and at least some of them would have stopped the commercial activity given the threat to ban them from the park. And may be the case there were warnings and some of the third party guides did just that. Could be we are just hearing from the guides that continued to push it.

Guess I always viewed unemployment benefits as part of a social safety net. Maybe not though.

We don't even have healthcare in this country unless you work full time and you can afford to take the hit on paying for it. Most developed nations do better than that.

Well sure, cause profits.

It's not because of profit, it's because of the choices we make as a nation.

If all of the other devloped nations jumped off of a bridge, would you?

Depends on how good their health care is.

What if a stranger opened a health clinic on the driveway of my house?

If they are jumping off of bridges I hope they have good health care.

When other nations close their healthcare they blame it on the weather.

Healthcare in the US = Rip Ride Rockit

If the US could support good healthcare, we'd already have it.
