Disney reports double the revenue for theme park division over last year

Disney’s parks, experiences and products segment saw revenues more than double to $6.7 billion during the quarter, compared to the prior-year period. The company said growth was fueled by increased attendance, hotel bookings and cruise ship sailings as well as higher ticket prices and higher spend on food, beverage and merchandise.
Disney said its domestic parks are beginning to see the return from international travelers, but not at the levels the company saw before the pandemic. This group of visitors once accounted for 18% to 20% of guests.
Additionally, not all of its international parks have been open full-time during the last quarter. While Paris Disneyland is celebrating its 30th anniversary, Shanghai Disneyland and Hong Kong Disneyland each experienced temporary closures due to local Covid spikes.

I don't even want to see how it looks when that international travel number gets higher. I've never seen the amount of people at WDW that I have on my recent visits. It's a weird fluctuation, too. The parks were manageable most of the time - we were even able to get a table outside of Casey's last month AND enjoy 2 less-crowded half-ish days at Magic Kingdom. EPCOT bonus late hours? Forget about doing anything that night - Remy was over a 2-hour wait, but World Showcase was pleasant to stroll around during the day, so the crowds waited to filter in at night.
Disney Springs was the most miserable I've ever seen it. Shoulder-to-shoulder-to-shoulder-to-shoulder people. Bars were completely full - some with lines wrapped around the side of the building, and the beer carts were 50 people deep. It took us over an hour to walk a loop around and get back to the bus stop - the only store we shopped in was Uniqlo, and you couldn't get to the t-shirts if you wanted to. What an odd time to be a theme park fan.
To be fair, the entire WDW Parks & Resorts division will be bankrupt and the entire WDW resort complex will be the next Geauga Lake by this time next year due to how woke they have become. At least that's what my governor told me on the Fox News.
And they put Frozen in Epcot, which Walt would not do, and therefore it dooms the resort.

I follow a couple of groups that keep an eye on what extreme conservative news outlets are up to and the fire on Disney is so strange. "Once you go woke then you go broke" is the slogan they're sticking to. They show pictures of empty midways at Magic Kingdom which I assume were taken when it was closed saying park visits are at record lows. They also mysteriously have weekly cancellation numbers for both the resorts and Disney plus.
It's as if financial reports from a publicly traded company don't exist. Suppose they just put it out there knowing the target audience won't question it.
I think reality and facts have long since stopped mattering to the Fox News crowd.

If the parks aren't crowded as ever, I wouldn't know it by how little I want to mess with going to Magic Kingdom after having to park somewhere near Nebraska before getting into a packed monorail or ferry.
