I really wanted to do Yacht Club or Boardwalk this time, but we're really there for Mickey's Not so Scary. I figure, getting out of MK after midnight and making our way back to a Lagoon/Lake resort will be better than trying to catch a bus or anything else. When we do hit Epcot, it'll still be boats and monorails, rather than buses.

The only place we'll have to worry about busing to, is AK - and as much as I want to check out Pandora, I might just stick to Epcot and MK for that long weekend.

noob to staying on Disney property...

What's the busing experience like for staying at Carribean Beach resort? I see Bus is the only option. And yes, I'm aware the food court will be closed when I'm there.

Thanks!

You will be fine, especially with the number of rooms that are closed for construction right now, the resort won't be overly crowded.

just be sure to have some distractions for the boys for the bus rides back. The rides to the parks are normally fine, especially if you're leisurely when trying to head to the parks for the day. When you leave Magic Kingdom and you're not planning on leaving early - after the fireworks, the place all heads for the gates - head to adventureland or something and try to avoid that rush, because you'll be waiting for a bus FOREVER.

Something I found interesting is that the bus drivers never know exactly where they are going from stop to stop each day. They do not pick up a route like on a city bus, rather the computer on the bus (that little screen you see next to them) tells them where they are going after each stop. Its never the same route throughout the day and is based on the need of transportation for each stop. It's basically a similar system to the one Cast Members use inside the parks that tells them where they are rotating to or when they are going on break. It is all handled by computers and dispatchers.
