While waiting for Soarin before the fireworks, a family with young kids told us that the line for the Anna and Elsa meet and great in the Norway section of Epcot was 5 hours for at least parts of the day. I find that staggering on multiple levels.

Crap! Thanks for the heads up on the waits. We'll have to head there early in the morning when we head to Disneyland in June.

Yeah so I'm gonna watch the movie next weekend. I'd heard but the more I hear the more I feel the need to watch it.

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

I'm Frozen-free myself, but everyone I know went to see it and everyone loved it. So I guess I'll jump on one of these days, too. I looked for it on Hawaiian Airlines, but our choices were Blue Jasmine and Gravity. (Gravity in a plane over the ocean? Oh HELL no. I took Woody Allen. Then I wanted to kill myself anyway)

And I noticed on our Disney trip that EPCOT's Norway had new life breathed into it on account of the character meet. The line was no five hours, but it wasn't coming up on spring break at the time, either. (who would do that anyway when Mary Poppins was right down the street?)

On a side note, I noticed this time for the first time how wildly popular the character meets have become. It's a phenomenon unto itself, with things like wait times and FastPass+ available. And how odd, really, that you'd stand in line to see what amounts to celebrity look-alikes. It's gone way beyond Mickey and Donald. And it wasn't just all kids in line, either, quite a few adults wanted those photos with their favorites.
Now, having said that, I'll add that Disney has done a great job making up kids to look so much like the real thing it's scary. I was especially impressed with Mary, who really was Julie Andrews gorgeous, and she was hilarious with the kids. She had them all snapped to attention. And Peter Pan and Wendy, who have their own little place near the ride, were spot on perfect. (Pete was this ginger Chris Colfer type, and had the character down) And I'll admit, seeing the princesses in the parade gave me a little celebrity rush- they really are convincing.

I still think the best thing I've seen on the internet about Frozen was the fake ad that said:

"Disney finally learned how to make a Pixar Movie" as it's tagline.

Five hours seems a little exaggerated to me. In any case, they're going to be at "the princess hut" as I like to call it at Magic Kingdom soon, where you can get a Fastpass.

Anna at the meet & greet was ok. But Elsa was pretty weak. Not sure thats an easy character to get right though.

I suspect the 5 hr line wasn't really that long. Though 5 minutes is too long for me. Thankfully my kids have never had an interest in character meets.

I agree that there seemed to be a lot more of them than I remember in past trips. Some very minor characters in my mind but all still had long lines.

As there seem to be more characters to meet and long lines of people waiting to meet them, you can't argue with them. And for me, it means fewer people waiting for things I want to do.
