Ours was one of the first ones to go in -- about a dozen years ago -- and it's still there by the turnstiles. Heck, they even scrape the blackened gum scraps off it from time to time!
But, yes, that 10-year boilerplate is just so Disney's parks don't become so overrun with lifetime sponsorships that they would refuse themselves the right to move the headstones without moving the bodies.
The money that they will be making for the kids is a good thing (and positive PR will always help the bottom line), but I think they could have created much more excitement (and money) by simply raffling off the chance. Sure, one person may indeed feel compelled to pay (say) $100,000 for this, but are you telling me that you dont think it is equally plausible to believe that (say) 1000 people would up $100 dollars for the chance? Especially being tax-deductible and for the kids?
Good idea...less than perfect implementation.

Bodies? Moving bodies? Moving headstones and leaving bodies? How's that again?

It's been awhile since I've caught Poltergeist -- though I guess it will probably be on a bit this time of year -- but I think Craig T. Nelson's line was "You moved the headstones but you didn't move the bodies?"
