how long are the lines at disneyworld iin florida? i mean, how long should i expect to wait for rides like space mountain, splash mountain, big thunder mountain, tower of terror, etc.

Ive never been there this time of year (after the holidays) but during the holidays those things are 3 hour waits. Space Mountain was 7 hours.

The big rides there , even though there not really that big are really long waits.  plan your day carefully.

MovieCoast - that depends when you're going. The first  week of  Janurary until the last week of Feburary are typically the slowest time of the year. Last year we walked on ToT and RnRC until 2:00 on a Tuesday in the end of Jan.

And a 7 hour wait? They have this thing called FastPass...

one of the best times to ride the big rides is during the parades at night, the wait for space mountian was 45 minutes 

I'll put it this way:

Learn how to correctly use FastPass, and you WILL NOT WAIT for anything.  I went to Magic Kingdom CHRISTMAS DAY in 2001...longest wait I had was 5 minutes for Haunted Mansion.  Stand-By lines were all 1 hour or more...Space Mountain was 3 hours!

When you go to disney use fastpass as much as you can(if you need to) Go ride majior rides during parades or night shows. When are you going?

Yeah, I go to DLR every year and I am defently a fast pass expert! It's easy to use and master, any questions just post here. But keep in mind All big rides at Disney parks are high capacity and well themed ( exclude DCA :) ) But even though MK is not as good as DL, the other parks will make up for that!

Looks like Todd and I are the true FastPass masters, lol.  Many people don't know all of the secrets that you can use to cheat the system.  If only ALL FastPass systems could be like this...not that crap they call Fast Lane at SF.

FastPass is the way to go. I went in Mid June of 2000, thanks to Fastpass I was able to ride every ride fairly quick and get several more rides. What I did was go when the park opened stayed till about 2. Leave and when back about 6 pm. The lines really  start to die down after dark. When you go to the Magic Kingdom go to Space Mountain and get a Fastpass off the bat, or else you got a wait on your hands (at times)

As some said, one of the best times to go is the first week of January.  A couple times my family has flown there on new years day, and the crowds were not bad at all.  About the worst waits were around an hour for space mountain, splash mountain, and tower of terror
