Disney Dream leaves Port Canaveral after 11 years

Disney Cruise Line is preparing to welcome its newest ship, the Disney Wish, to Central Florida later this month. The Disney Dream leaves Port Canaveral, its only home port, to sail from Miami, then Europe next year.

This is a great ship. Took my first cruise ever on it about a month ago. I especially liked the dining facilities, with all of the themes, even the less formal Animator's Palette, being quite nice. I'll be excited to try out the Wish in the future, though.

Yeah, I think 15 of our 20 cruises have been on the Dream (1 on Fantasy, 2 on Wonder, 2 on Magic). We'll be on the inaugural sailing of the Wish, which is to say the one after the Atlantic crossing, cast practice run and DVC sailings. 🙂
