Disney donates classic train to museum from California Adventure

The classic passenger train that was located on the west side of Sunshine Plaza near Condor Falls at Disney California Adventure was recently removed with the aid of a 90-ton crane, a Disney official said. Disney spokeswoman Betsy Sanchez said the California Zephyr was removed overnight on Aug. 5, put on a flat-bed truck and donated to the Western Pacific Railroad Museum in Portola, Ca.

Sad to see this go. This was one area o the park that I felt stood out as "neat" when I visited there a few years ago.

My only problem with it is that it didn't make a "grand circle tour" of the park. I guess that is reserved for certain magic kingdoms. At least there will be the red car.
