Some people may remember the treehouse villas that disney used to have. They were treehouse hotel rooms.

They have been closed for several years now, and disney just went in and rebuilt them. This looks pretty cool, and I can't wait to check them out.
Anybody here ever stay here?
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
This is the stuff mentioned in the news last week, I believe.

It's a dvc only resort?

Yes, but there should be plenty of inventory available from Disney in the short term, until the entire set of buildings is declared into the condo association. Disney typically only declares inventory as they have to to back the points they sell, rather than all at once. So, Disney still "owns" many of the buildings. After it is declared, though, the Members technically lease the entire set of buildings.
There are still ways to do it. You could rent directly from a Member, and that's probably the most cost-effective way. Disney will also always own some fraction, either through contracts that default on their loan payments, or contracts that are ROFR'd on resale. There also could be inventory turned over to Disney to pay for Members who use points for cruises, non-DVC hotels that Disney owns, the guided tours, etc.
