Disney asks for voluntary cut back in hours, attendance on roller coaster ride

Despite some gains to more normal seasonal attendance, numbers are back down for Orlando attractions as Disney asks employees to voluntarily cut back hours.

Read the Orlando Sentinel for more on reduced hours and low attendance.

I was in Orlando last Saturday.  The parks were actually busier than I expected.  I am told that the resorts are near capacity on Friday night and Saturday night but that the numbers drop significantly during the week.

A friend of mine was offered the voluntary cutback...which would decrease his pay by 8 hours but not impact his benefits.  Some people are in a better position to do this than others though.

In any event, it is a great time to go to the parks if you have a chance.

Generally 32 hours is considered full time. So they won't loss any benefits but thetre Checks will be a little less.
I'm actually somewhat hoping the attendance will still be low when I get there in January.
