Disney and LIM's

I'm suprised that no one ever really talks about this, but Disney was one of the first companies to use LIM's in the construction of thier rides. Namely, Space Mtn. and Big Thunder Mtn.

While not the type we see today, they are there mainly in the loading/unloading areas. They "push" the brake fins much like friction drives do. I think that is cool.

Good point. They were also one of the first to really work with a LIM-type arrangement in a custom coaster (Rocking Roller Coaster, which is an amazing ride)
