Discovery Channel Coaster Shows

Unlucky me doesn't seem to have the Travel Channel but I do have the Discovery Channel. I know that I've seen a few coaster shows on it from time to time. Does anybody know the dates of coaster shows on the Discovery Channel?

Thanks in advance!

Is it just me or does Hypersonic look like one of those coasters you would see on Looney Toons?
I dunno about the Discovery Channels shows but The Learning Channel (TLC) is going to show "Scream Machines" at 8pm on Wednesday, March 21st and again on Saturday, March 24th at both 2pm and 2am. Hopefully you get the Learning Channel!

When I first moved to the city I live in, the cable had the Travel Channel but then they took it away! $42.00 per month for cable (no movie channels) and no Travel Channel! :(
I don't know but you could go to yahoo.com and look at the tv listings. They might tell you when they are coming on.

Yeah, as my first sentence says, I don't have The Learning Channel. I really wish my cable company would get it. It would solve a lot of problems.

www.ultimaterollercoaster.com has a good listing of coaster TV shows. It lists all of the shows, dates they are on, and channel. Though currently there are none coming up on the discovery channel. sorry.

Don't worry, you didn't miss much on
Busch Gardens Revealed or
Sea World Florida Revealed

On both shows, they concentrate on the wild life and the history of the park from that angle, which is good.

When they got around to showing the coasters, it was with heavily edited cut shots.
On the BGT show, it was George Shriver and the Steinberg family riding Gwazi. Most of the shots were of the people, looking backwards, with edits and cut shots.
They did the usually interviews talking about ride saftey with the people walking the tracks. Showed Kumba with heavy edits.
Then it was Montu with a group of people from Long Island who didn't know what they we're talking about. Again, heavy edits, scenes out of order, and then a full 1 minute interview with someone who basically said something like, "wow, that was great, I've been on it 80 times, it has loops and does all kinds of things." DuH! I know that.
WHY DO THESE SHOWS HAVE THESE DUMB INTERVIEWS?

The Seaworld show did the same thing, but it was a step up because they had the ride manager Van Rice on it after talking about inspections.
DOES EVERY SHOW HAVE TO TELL US ABOUT THE INSPECTIONS?????

At least his narration included a play by play of the ride elements on Kraken. It was hard to hear him, but good. But we got the usual EDITS and people shots that ruin the video.

To vent I sent off an e-mail to TTC asking them to show the ride from START TO FINISH with a Front Seat POV with NO cut shots. Have the show narrator give the play by play with a graphic of each ride element as the coaster runs thru it. If they can get the estimated speed and g-forces of the ride, then put that in the corner also.

If they did this, then the shows would become collectors items, but as it is, they are useless. I will tape over them.

You can't imagine how frustrated I get when I see these roller coaster shows that have interviews, and give explanations of the ride inspections, and then give 1 minute to the actual ride of the coaster with cut shots.

If any of you are involved in future shows, then let the producers know we want to see the ride from
START TO FINISH.

Talk to you later.
