1) What a ride, that has so much potential. Much laughter ensues. Potential? That's why we see so many bobseld coasters popping up nationwide. It works as a medium-thrill ala mine ride...I would agree with you there.
2) I mean I guess the que is fine Really. Really? The queue is FINE? The queue looks like it was designed by 4-year-olds, makes no sense, and represents the absolute pinnacle of Cedar Fair's complete irresponsibility and lack of attention to the "little things".
As a new father, I will never let my daughter near Disaster Transport, just to avoid the embarassment. I will tell her it's a warehouse.
There are no good ideas about re-theming. There are no good ideas about taking away theming, or changing this, or changing that.
The only good idea is removal. Even from the history books. Seriously.

A litle over the top wouldn't you say?

Maybe a bit... but come on. CP would just say "we're not a theme park."
Or the ever popular 'we're not into gimmicks' (they said that alot before Mantis (standup), Wicked Twister (backwards) and High Heel Dragqueen (TTD- one trick pony). *** Edited 11/15/2007 2:31:27 AM UTC by J7G3***

Of course. And yes, if she really really wanted to of course I would take her on it. :) My point was that in terms of DT, the "bad" of Cedar Fair is illustrated.
As an educated human being, I honestly cannot comprehend how and why it is still standing i its current state. To say it is hideous is an understatement, and if Cedar Point wants to be "world-class", DT does not fit into its picture.
And the '3D' painted queue is a joke, but the original queue was kinda cool.
Better not tell Knoebels that bobsled-style coasters are out. ;)
Outdated and rundown theming is always out...

Actually I just think the lights were on during that particular ride.
If true, maybe they should leave the lights on? It sure would be more fun than complete darkness.
RIDE ON!
I have to agree the building is ugly and the semi-replacement theme is tacky. Anyone catch the misspelling of HGIH Voltage the first couple of weeks after they put that...whatever that buzzing thing is into the queue? At least they turned the lights out on the ride and it's mostly dark now. I still like to scream "we're out of control!!!" where the recording used to be.
I can't see them tearing it down, though. Where would they have the Pharoah haunted house? And the ride still has long lines, especially in the heat of summer.
I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead

OK: That alone should be reason enough to tear it down. This is a world class resort. You call ugly and tacky things world class? Would Disney let a ride just literally turn to crap before their eyes and ignore the problem for over a decade? Shameful!
At least they turned the lights out on the ride and it's mostly dark now
So no one can see the rest of the crap that has gone to crap inside the ride.
And the ride still has long lines, especially in the heat of summer.
100% agreed. Which is why you replace it with an equally popular mid-thrill coaster that isnt crap!

Like Gonch, CPLady, and Ensign Smith, I enjoy DT. Not a favorite - but certainly not worthy of the all the hate ethusiasts send it's way. Not every ride will be The Voyage or MF or (insert your favorite here).
Why focus on "fixing" something the GP enjoys when there are bigger challenges.
My biggest complaint about the ride - how about spending a couple bucks and have someone clean the dust from the props in the main queue room? No innovation or massive money involved.
