Disabling Sounds

Can it be done? I like to have my mp3s playing, and the "whoosh" noises get in the way more than anything else...

Uhh... why don't you just turn off or mute your speakers and then use a Rio MP3 player?

Does the exact same job that you request.

I do the same thing you are doing, but all I can say is just get used to the noise of the whoosing.  It didn't take me long to get used to it.

Oh, wonderful... The problem is that the music I listen to is usually pretty soft, and I have to turn it up kinda loud. Then a huge *WHOOSH* or something comes along and blasts me out of my chair thanks to the good boys at Harman/Kardon...

I've looked through the \data\ directory, but I can't see anything that looks like it might be the sounds file.

I can hear the "whoosh" and my mp3's.  Pretty cool!
