DIRECTX8!!!!!!!!!

Has anyone downloaded directx8 and it screwed up your roller coaster tycoon, well it sure did mine. if u figured out a way to fix it respond SOON!! im can't stand it without RCT!!!!!!!

I have DX8, and it works fine. Try reinstalling DX8, otherwise something is wrong with your computer (such as hardware conflicting with the game because of DX8)

what problem are you encountering? if it randomly freezes on you, im encountering that too.

I'm running RCT on Windows XP RC2, with DX8, and there are no problems. Just try reinstalling the game.

i have millenium edition o my dell so maybe it's the OS

i have dx8 and i don't have any problems with it on rct. however, that's a different story for high heat baseball 2002.

i fixed it. go to http://rollercoastertycoon.com/test/index2.html
and download the patch. u may have to reinstall roller coaster tycoon if u get an error that says the files ar corrupted. after u use the patch every thing should work fine. also get the delxtor patch!
