directions to back entrance of SFGA?

okay, I know about the back entrance to Great America and that's usually the way that I like to go in, but I personally don't know how to get there. if anyone knows how to get there from both 41 and 94, I'd greatly appreciate directions. also, if you know how to get from the back entrance to the front in case the back is closed, that would be great too.

the one time I tried to go to the back entrance, I exited 41 where all the signs said and the entire street was blocked up with traffic. it looked like we were headed for a toll and I didn't have any change so I exited the road and got lost around Gurnee. I finally found my way to the back entrance (though I don't know how), but it was closed so I had to go around to the front which got me lost again. so that's why I'm looking for directions to both the back entrance and from the back to the front. thanks.

While eading northbound on I94:
Head west on route 120 to route 21. Take 21 north to Washington St. Turn left (west) on Washington and the sneaky entrance will be on your right (you can't miss it).

If you're heading south on I94, you might as well just get off at Grand Ave, and use the front entrance.

To get there from 41:
From north or south take route 120 west to O'Plaine Rd. Head north on O'Plaine to Washington. Left (west) on Washington to the park. Again, you can miss it.

To get from the back entrance to the front entrace (which you will need to do, since the back will be closed), head east on Washington to route 21. Take route 21 north to Grand. Take Grand west, and the main entrance will be on your left.

After your day of riding coaster: exit out the front (main) entrance and head west on Grand. After 2-3 miles there will be a little strip mall containing a Starbuks .. Next door to the Starbucks is Coney Island Frozen Custard .. complete with working model coaster .. a must stop for any Six Flags Great America visitor!! (Not affiliated in any way, blaa blaa blaa)

Remember that the Wahington St. entrance will remain closed for at least the first few weeks. I'd expect it to be open in mid-June.

Your village called. They're missing their idiot.

yeah, I know its gonna be closed, but just for future refrence. I probably should have specified that I was coming from the south. thanks, Cameron. at first, I thought that you were going to tell me to stop in the Starbucks, but thankfully you pointed me to something that I didn't even know was there. I'll have to try out the directions when I go to process my season pass. after all, I don't want to look like an idiot in front of my friends and have to pull out directions when I'm supposed to know everything about the park! ;)
