Did Warner Stengel desined El Toro?

I've read some comments about Stengel in the Maverick thread but since I'm asking about El Toro I was wondering if that was his work since Intamin built it. I hope to ride it within the next few years. It is rumored to have the world strongest woodie airtime (crossing RT) & of course the world's steepest woodie drop! Whoop a typo in the subject! Sorry but I can't seem to edit the subject line! :( *** Edited 5/19/2007 8:30:44 PM UTC by Pink Floyd Fanatic***

It is a FACT that The Voyage is the greatest thing on the planet!!

The name is on the rcdb entry but what the company's exact involvement with the ride is, I'm not sure anyone here knows.

I'd say it's probable he had something to do with it.
Yes, Stengel designed it, and his company holds the patent on the prefabricated, laminated track system.
^ I think the pre-fab wood track is the coolest invention to come to the coaster industry in years.

Is there also a patent on the cable lift technology?

No patent. Pinfari started it, and Intamin actually made it work.

This sais he did.

There are two types of people in the world. People who like coasters and idiots.

Ah yes, the great Wikipedia. I could make it say that my mom designed it too! (Not that I doubt he did, just Wikipedia is no source to rely on!) :) *** Edited 5/20/2007 2:41:08 AM UTC by Peabody***

Real Cbuzz quote of the day - "The classes i take in collage are so mor adcanced then u could imagen. Dont talk about my emglihs" - Adamforce
Did I read that right? Pinfari started work on the prefab laminated wood track system?
Read the post above it.

I wonder how many ways people can incorrectly spell this guy's name?

I believe AJ is referring to the cable lift system. This is the first I've heard of Pinfari's involvement.

It was to my understanding that Werner Stengel was a consultant to ride development, that he designed parts, and provided calculations for new or challenging elements, rather than designing the entire ride?

If Werner had anything to do with this ride at all...I will bow down before him and kiss his feet for creating such a great ride!!!

Haha no I'm not giving Patrick the finger
