Did some topics disappear?

I replied to a "Coasters you wish you'd ridden" thread this morning and now it's gone. Not even marked as closed or something. Did a moderator remove it or did something happen?

That happenedto me once. It was just gone. Also I couldn't find it closed.

When the mods find a thread or discussion that has been covered or is going nowhere, they just delete it. No explanation, it just goes away. This one may be on it's way ou..............

Yeah, there's been a similar topic in the past so it was probably removed. Only thing is trying to find those old topics, as the search on here usually (for me) doesn't return what I need.

Some people frown on new threads that have already been discussed. Others frown on going back to old topics and replying.

Well said. I've noticed that before, too, and unfortunately it seems to come up quite a bit. But I guess on a site with this many members there will always be somebody to complain about something.
