I dont know about that but I do know that a goose was killed thanks to an unfortunate accident involving Fabio's nose and Apollo's Chariot. Anyway, if this is true my bet is that it was on either BBW Alpengiest or Apollo because those rides needed some paint. ------------------ I don't care what anyone says, Magnum is better then Millenium Force.
The story is awfully brief, but it sounds like he was in a manlift that overturned. It's purely a guess, but I suspect that the ground was soft from all of the recent precipitation that we've had in the mid-Atlantic region and the lift wasn't blocked well enough.
First of all, if the man was on a scissor lift, then fall protection would not necessarily be required. It would be required in a bucket truck, which is what the article seems to be describing.
But then, such protection would attach the worker to the truck, so if the truck tips over (which is what it sounds like happened), the guy is tied to it and would be dragged to the ground.
Short of tying himself off to the track, I don't think there is much this guy could have done in the air from the sound of it...the problem was apparently the stability of the work vehicle. It's a sad situation, and the second time I know of that a worker has been killed working on the Big Bad Wolf.
