Did some one die at BGW????

Their was a post that someone died while painting a coaster at BGW, he apparently fell out of his harness if the report is true. Does anybody else have any info or links to any articles about this???
I dont know about that but I do know that a goose was killed thanks to an unfortunate accident involving Fabio's nose and Apollo's Chariot. Anyway, if this is true my bet is that it was on either BBW Alpengiest or Apollo because those rides needed some paint.

I don't care what anyone says, Magnum is better then Millenium Force.
I just saw this posted on another coaster site so im guessing if it is true it happened recently.
I wouldn't believe it without some news story from a Williamsburgh news sorce. You wouldn't believe some of the fake crap out there on coaster sites... :)

It is true, but there are no stories online yet that I can find. Someone reported it on the local news in the Williamsburg area.

"There is a cluster of bees at the top of the lift. Sorry for the inconvenience."

Unfortunately, it's true. Big Bad Wolf was the coaster. This is the news.
Too bad :( I was hoping it was another bogus rumor.

The story is awfully brief, but it sounds like he was in a manlift that overturned. It's purely a guess, but I suspect that the ground was soft from all of the recent precipitation that we've had in the mid-Atlantic region and the lift wasn't blocked well enough.
I'm sure OSHA will investigate this, to see if adequate Block and Tackling was used. It also seems to me that the painter should have been harnessed to something.

That's sad. It seems he should have been harnessed in better. I assume it was at the top right before the frop and turn over the lake.

I guess we can call the ride "haunted" now.
What was it that made the car overturn? I seriously doubt that it's haunted. If it was haunted, bad things would have happened long before this happened!
"buggs3124" asked what made it turnover?

If its the type of lift I'm thinking of than I guess the painter was leaning in the lift, and the lift wasnt stable, fell over.

First of all, if the man was on a scissor lift, then fall protection would not necessarily be required. It would be required in a bucket truck, which is what the article seems to be describing.

But then, such protection would attach the worker to the truck, so if the truck tips over (which is what it sounds like happened), the guy is tied to it and would be dragged to the ground.

Short of tying himself off to the track, I don't think there is much this guy could have done in the air from the sound of it...the problem was apparently the stability of the work vehicle. It's a sad situation, and the second time I know of that a worker has been killed working on the Big Bad Wolf.

Ouch!,I noticed the link was to the local NBC4 affiliate here in the DC area,it's a tragic set of events that lead to this man's death but at least the ride itself isn't at fault.
I can't beleive I asked that stupid question!
Sad to hear that the rumor is true!!!

Dave with out death occurred on the ride???
