Did anyone see the special with Cedar Point?

Just on the travel channel was a special about the great lakes: the secret playground for the USA.  Anyways it had a 15 minute segment about Cedar Point.  It was very informative but they did have quite a few mistakes such as Millennium Force being 352 feet high, Mean Streak being the fastest woodie in the world, and Cedar Point being only 20 minutes from Cleveland.  Even with all the mistakes it was very informative and interesting information about Cedar Point.  Check your TV listings when its on again I think they will replay it again at 1 AM Eastern time tonight and again on Saturday.

I didn't see that one, but last year the Travel channel or maybe the Discovery Channel did a whole show on Cedar Point. It was a documentary of one complete day! Did you see that one?
The Travel Chanel had a show about "Secret" places.  I can understand how some places on the Lake Erie Islands are "secret," but I thought CP is pretty much out in the open!

They had many mistakes:  Millennium Force is the longest coaster in the world.  Showing Magnum cars nearly every time they mentioned Millennium.  CP builds new rides only every two years, etc.

But even with the mistakes, it was great PR for the Point.

Yea I saw it, like you said they had a few mistakes but it was a good special; $1,200.00 bucks a night for a room at the breakers that's crazy.

ALL CLEAR I can't wait to hear those words again

Two show always air back to back on Discovery channel, "Making of a Coaster" and "World's Largest Amusement Park" (featuring Cedar Point).  My understanding is that Discovery channel does their programming in 4 three month quarters, and after January 1st we will know if they will air these shows again in January, February of March 2002...
