The developer of the first two hotels at Disney's Flamingo Crossings said Thursday he plans to build seven hotels on the property within the next four or five years. Flamingo Crossings, about half a mile from Walt Disney World's western entrance, is aimed at budget tourists and teams participating in events at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

I'm probably going to be a Beach/Yacht Club junkie forever. Amazing pool, dead center of everything I care most about.

I've yet to experience those resorts, but I imagine I'd like them, or Boardwalk the best.

Yacht/Beach definitely has a better pool than Boardwalk.

But Boardwalk has a microbrewery!

Hi

And it takes like five minutes to walk there. :) Or to Rose & Crown, which has a fantastic selection of aclahol.

Yeah, my guess is short term, the goal is to capture the ESPN piece (they basically say as much)

I'd be interested in knowing how much ESPN traffic is already funneled to the Disney Values. I know that the Pop Warner tournament generates a lot of on-site Value room-nights. Not sure about the rest of the slate.

I've done both BCV and BWV. I thought they were comparable. Stormalong bay was anticipointing---nice pool, but I guess I'm not a big pool guy. Then again, BCV is right next to the International Gateway, and we were there during Food & Wine, so it's hard to beat that location. BWV is a bit farther from Epcot, but seems to be a bit more "active," which I appreciated. The Belle Vue lounge at BWV is also, IMO, a step up from Crew's Cup at BCV, though Territory at WL/VWL is my favorite resort bar.

Your acronyms are killing me, and I live on top of those places. I don't know what WL is.

WL would be, I think, Wilderness Lodge and VWL would be the villas there. I think.

Right: Beach Club Villas, Boardwalk Villas, and Villas @ Wilderness Lodge. Sorry about that.
