Guess I'll only post during work hours from now on....;)

BTW, there was an article about the coasters down under in an ACE article I was reading not too long ago. If I come across the article when I get home, I'll let ya know what issue it was in.....oh, shoot, can't do that, since I'll likely have a nice cold Corona in hand....;)

You're right about how the place looked back then (when the article was written). Until recently, it was a pretty desolate looking place, with not much more than an old cracked car park and some dingy old buildings dating to the 50's. You can really see how they've put in a lot to make the place certainly more appealing. All they need now is the coaster up and running, and the place will be perfect.

Some recent pix of OR, including some of the cars showing exactly how they tilt:

Also says they've hired an engineer to get OR operational, so hopefully someday in our lifetime they'll get this thing open:

Arrow transitions? I've never seen transitions like that before! The banking on that thing makes Arrow and Vekoma look like B&M! Heck, a re-design on Roller Coaster Tycoon would probably be an imporvement.

An interesting concept nonetheless, but it looks to me like a few more new pieces of track are still needed before the ride can successfully open.
