DESTINY - question for movie

Hey everyone,

Thanks for the great response so far to my post. When I ask additional questions, I'll label my posts "Destiny" so everyone'll know.

Next question;

Anyone out there love researching and talking about roller coasters, but have fears about actually riding them? Rumor has it that the gentleman who designed X has never ridden it.

Our main character is a guy who is very fearful of his future, and we're wondering: would it be interesting if our guy has always loved rides, but has a fear of heights?

Can anyone relate?

Many coaster enthusiast including yours truly have a fear of heights. I think that our interest in coasters is a way of defying our fears.
I think that if you keep asking as questions (which is good), you may want to keep them under one post.

Humm I wonder why lol lol lol

There are no bad coasters, only better coasters!!

Let' see here, why couldn't the designer of X actually not have ridden his own coaster design:

1) It is down more than it is up.

2) To busy looking for a new job after the S&S and Arrow Merger.

3) Tired of waiting in line for one train operation.

Yes... This is my attempt at sarcasm... Pretty bad huh?

Honestly, in the past two years, I have overcame my fear of riding roller coasters. I started with one I wasn't so scared to ride and built my way up to riding Batwing at my local park. After that horrendous experience, I no longer have my fear of riding coasters.

I only experienced fright on one ride and that was Dragster, cuz I hate launches 100 mph launches!

Kyle Says: Diamondback was a lot of fun! Made his first time at Kings Island worth it all!

I have acute acrophobia. I have no problem on roller coasters, but I never would want to evacuate from the top of the lift. I also despise when I am on a ferris wheel during the unload/load cycle when I am at the apex of the circle.

My mom is a little worse then me (no longer rides ferris wheels unless they are the ones with the multi arms like HP and formally SFGAm, RIP)

Hey, it's Luke Greenfield. Thanks for the response. It's been great. We're going to have lots of questions as we develop this movie. Bobby D. is hitting the first big questions.

Our next question: Is there anyone out there who is trying to design roller-coasters for a living? We hear it's a very difficult feat to actually become one of the visionaries who create the huge budget rides, or even any ride, that is.

We would like to hear the plights of a visionary in the making. For example, years after film school, I wanted to lynch myself because I was so frustrated and struggling to make movies and I just couldn't break in.

Do any of you know people that are similar to this scenario?

What are these people doing for a living while trying to break in and get their concepts made into real coasters?

Thanks for the help.

Luke
