one word review=ouch!

I like it. More than the other Arrow hyper I've ridden (you know which one that is).

I like the first drop into the tunnel. I like the second long, gradual drop. I like the three huge bunny-hops. I like the indoor helix. I like being able to look down into the arcade while you're sitting on the train, waiting for the ride to start. Heck, I like the awesome selection of music games at that arcade.

And it feels like reclining on a feather pillow compared to Manhattan Express (which I also like). ;)

That drop into the tunnel was pretty cool...I couldn't keep my hands up. :( I hate when I fall for the choppers. And yes, the arcade was way fun.

I can only guess Den is referring to the old Steel Phantom, since Maggie CAN'T be ranked below Despy....or can it? ;)

If you want a GOOD Arrow hyper, just have Morgan *fix* one...:)

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

Magnum.. I think at last count, I came up with about 456 individual trackweld bumps per lap. That or there about anyway.

Brian, who thinks it serves as a really fast and tall minetrain.

Actually, I *was* referring to Magnum, and I forgot about Steel Phantom, which I also liked better than Magnum. ;)

I was at Buffalo Bills last June. I purchased an unlimited ride ticket, but only rode Deperado 3 times. It hurt so bad tht I was bruised for days. I rode in the front, middle and back trying to find the most comfortable ride. None to be found. I was out there in 1998 and the ride was very smooth.
Has anyone else had any problems with the ridiculous dispatch procedure they have here, where they won't send the train out until the entire thing is filled up. My wife and I were there in early Jan. and had to wait nearly a half hour in the cold until they finally sent us out. I could understand maybe waiting until half the train fills up or waiting a set amount of time before dispatching but this was ridiculous. BTW, I too thought that the ride was pretty rough. We only rode it in the back and thought that maybe it might have been smoother up front but it sounds like that isn't the case. *** Edited 3/16/2004 5:06:12 AM UTC by Pale Rider***

It has not aged very gracefully, I'll say. I rode it in it's first year and it absolutely rocked! Rode it last year and noticed it wasn't smooth anymore.:( Oh well. But I will still take a ride whenever I'm in the area.

They Live. We Sleep.

LMAO Dawn. That's gotta be the best TR I've ever read. Guess we shouldn't be too disappointed Desperado was closed the day we there.

That's the funniest thing I've read all day. It must be your phrase of the off season.

Dave Dragon, go Dave Dragon, and the Star Force Five!

It's not my phrase, actually...come's from a TV show. And what off-season? I live in LA, we don't have an off-season ;)
You just have off days from coasters. How sad, you don't have the joy about the season kicking in and park openings.

Yeah!

Except for the weather.

On Topic: Desperado must be ridden like a bull to avoid kidney punches. Grab the bar between your legs and lean forward. YEEEEEHAAAWWW!!

Pale Rider: Yes, when I was there in November, we waited in the train for nearly 20 minutes before they sent it out. However, NO MORE PEOPLE came to ride during those 20 minutes. Annoying.

Moosh: Wha' happen?

WHAT?!!? does NOT come from just *any* TV show, it comes from one of the funniest TV shows in years....

Honestly, barring *cartoons* (Family Guy, Futurama, ATHF, Harvey Birdman), Chappelle's Show has left me in tears more than anything in the last few years...hysterical.

BUT....I have to ask.....did you get to ride that interactive log flume....no ouch, just PURE fun! :)

edit: After something THAT good, you need to find a loosey....;)

Please tell me Chappelle isn't taking credit for making up the phrase, "What?!?" Everyone in the world says that every day.
