Designs

I just bought No Limits,I know its about time. :)

Its a great program.

Some of the coasters are amazing what people have made.My question, when you design your coasters(recreations),are you using blueprints, pictures? How do you get them that realistic?

I use video footage, as well as pictures and stats from RCDB and Guide To Ride, but I also rely on my memory a lot if I've ridden the ride. *** Edited 7/29/2006 3:55:57 PM UTC by Acoustic Viscosity***

All I do is simply take a ride that has alredy been made and soup it up, such as the Kraken. I made it about 450 feet tall with some crazy twists, I guess I find transforming rides fun.
Is there a way to see what the angles of the drops that you create are?

The best you can to determine the angles is to use the grid as a reference and then some trig to calculate the angle. There may be a handy add-on too out there to do this, but it's never been a concern of mine.

^Unfortunately not in the editor. But there is a tool out there that can help you figure out slopes. It's the Automatic Heartline Generator (or AHG).

http://www.nolimitsdevcenter.net/pageid-6.html

When you load a track into the AHG it tells you the start/end slope (and radius, and tilt).

There's more tools to be found here:

NOTE: Read "readme" files!! ;)

Thanks all for your help.I am going to download the tools, sounds like what I am looking for.
