Plans are coming together for new a Houston-area theme park from the family of the man who brought Houstonians hours of fun at Playland Park decades ago. The 25-acre park Adventure Pointe in Texas City would have a retro-Americana theme and would be located next to the Tanger Outlet Mall on I-45 South.

Well, thank God someone is going to open a theme park in Houston. We've been told that city has gone straight into the crapper as a direct result of the closure of AstroWorld.
True. Actually, they could use two to make up for it.
