Demon's old theming at SFGAm

I was looking at some old pictures of Demons old theming and it looked pretty cool. Does any one know why the park got rid of the old theming?

The old theming at the park, as well as the other Demon in California was removed because several devout Christians (no offense) complained that the park was advertising Satan and that the ride was too evil looking. I have seen old pictures and it does look really cool.
Thats a stupid reason to get rid of it. I saw some pictures of the old themeing and it looked cool. I think they should of kept it. And its just a Rollecoaster that has nothing to do with the satan.
Does anyone know where I could see some pictures of the old theming? I saw them before, but I forgot the site that they were at. I tried to search for them, but could'nt find them.

The only thing the religious groups were in an uproar about was the entrance sign. The old sign sported steel bars with glowing red eyes staring through it with a blood pool in front of it.

The rest of the theming for the most part is still intact.

You mean, aside from the fact that the waterfall is only blodd-red during Fright Fest now, they don't play the "Demon Song" any more, the ceiling lights in the tunnel don't go on, and they took the 3-d logos off the trains?
Yes, I definitely miss the Demon song. I miss it so much that my kids and I sing it while waiting in line for the Demon at SFGAm.

I believe that the lights were removed from the top of the tunnel because idiots were throwing rocks and sticks, and smashing the bulbs.

It does suck, but at least they left the lights on the sides..

(This is the ride at Six Flags Great America .. I have never been to PGA and can't comment about that version..)

I said "for the most part". When you look at it, the things that were takin away are very minor. They do play the Demon song through the first tunnel still.

Them playing the original song in the tunnel is such crap. You cannot understand any of it. The recording they have is shot. What they need to do is just start looping the song into the station(it used to run throughout the queue but I think that people today wouldnt have that much patience with the song). As for the other effects and theming, not much is really missing. Sure the old sign out front is gone but how much would that really add to the experience now a days. I do wish they would run the blood waterfall all year long. That was really cool at Fright Fest.

actualy, this year they did play the demon theme song sometimes in the line and when they released the trains from the station and it was a good quality 2...

Yeah, it is shot, but its cool how you enter the tunnel and without warning it just blares loudly. Makes my daughter jump everytime. :)
