Demon on TV

The Demon incident is being featured on Discovery Channel right now.  (10:24 in Michigan)
Yeah, I just caught that as well. It ended with the family saying, "We will never ride a roller coaster again." They're missing out.

Would you if you got stuck upside down for so many hours?

There's no question on that one, of course I would. It was a very, very unfortunate incident, but it would not scare me into not riding roller coasters again.

I would too.
It just seems so awful to me.  I really can't imagine what those people went through.

Imagine you are terrified of roller coasters.  Then you get stuck upside down for hours?  I can see where they are coming from.

But to me, it wouldn't affect my riding abilities.  I would actually like it(until those damn harnesses start really digging into my thighs), to some extent.

If only those people knew the whole story though about the Demon.  I don't know if any of this is true or not but I have heard many times that the reason for the Demon getting stuck upside down was the wheels or the carriage of one of the cars came off so it stopped dead in its tracks right there which is a built in safety feature on Arrow that prevent a incident like what happened on Mindbender from happening.  I don't know if any of this is true but if someone knows or can correct please do so.

I believe that and axle broke off, halting the train where it was due to friction and a general malfunction.

Yeah, I'd imagine that having all the blood rush to your head for hours on end would feel great, too.

I also can't imagine what they went through. I can't even stand beind held upside down for 5 seconds on Cliffhanger at Lagoon.

Speaking of Cliffhanger, it stalled with the gondolas locked upside down for about 5 minutes while I was in line. The people seemed fine, but I still didn't want to ride immediately afterwards.

Ever since this Demon incident you can tell how many people lie to there friends at parks.  I was in line for Iron Wolf this year and I heard a girl go "yeah last time I went on this it got stuck upside down on me" people talk about it as if its a common thing and the people they tell actually belive it.  I've heard people say this many times and it just bothers me because it makes coasters look unsafe.
