Joe, who CANNOT WAIT for Apr 10!

What the heck are you doing on Apr 10? Nothing at PKI I can tell you that, not when that is a Thursday.

Silly me, they never said Media Day was cancelled. Thanks for the heads up BeastFreak.

Saucy!

That's the only word I can use to describe the look of this ride.

Mr. Legendary..........are you ready?

-Sean

Wow, I had no idea the thing was so massive. I sure hope PKD gets one!

Corey

Nein soll es ausschließend sein. Deshalb werden die Parks zu einem wie nicht.

Legendary, sorry, was unaware you were attending media day or that it was even on that day. Was just giving you a hard time thinking you messed up your dates.

The translation I got from http://Babelfish.altavista.com wasn't much better TN... "No it is to be excluding. Therefore the parks do not become one like."

Joe, does this mean Kings Island finally did something right for you and it's not such a horrible park any more? ;)

I would say Delirium looks a little too sick for me, but I hope you like it a lot!

-Danny

Danny,

I'm lost, when/where did I say it was a horrible park? I see the smiley, but don't get the reference!

PKI is a park I have gone to every year since 1997. It's not one of my top five parks or anything, but I think they have a quality ride assortment, especially lately with the huge flats they're installing. Also, while none of their coasters are top ten for me, they are all pretty good, with FoF, Beast, Face/OFF, Vortex, and Top Gun being my fav. Oh yeah, and Drop Zone is pretty damn good too, for an Intamin freefall. ;)

Oh, I thought you were the one that said in some News item that you couldn't understand why someone liked the park so much since they don't even have anything good (or maybe that it was boring). Maybe you were joking with them about it too, it was someone else, or I was hallucinating again, lol. ;)

I know you (or that person) didn't say it was horrible, so I was just exaggerating that while I was kidding around. Sorry if it wasn't you!

Danny is just always looking for a reason to pick a fight over PKI. We hold an event there and he still tries to make me out to be a hater.

Wow, that's the biggest lie I've ever heard. I don't think you hate the park. If you did, I don't care if you hate it. If Joe does/did, I don't care. It would be nice if you/he did, but I was just wondering what he thought by making friendly conversation. I'm not looking for a reason to pick a fight. I'm not trying to make you out to be a hater (when did I even bring you up?). If you didn't want to hold an event at CP, it doesn't mean you hate it. If you hold an event at SFWOA, it doesn't mean you like it.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM, roller coasters (Homer Style)

For anyone that's ridden something like Delerium, what's the puke factor gonna be?
Hard to say. The closest thing I've been on was an Intamin Gyro Swing, and I didn't find it at all upsetting, but that's me. The Gyro Swing, as it turns out, hardly spins while swinging, only rotating a bit out on the ends. Fun, but nothing super exciting. The Afterburner and regular Frisbee are actually far more thrilling rides.

Now, that said, if the Giant Frisbee has the fast spinning of the Afterburner or Frisbee, coupled with that huge swing arc, it's going to be something else. Hope PKI has plenty of sawdust handy...

Greg -

I'm curious: did you find the spinning on the Afterburner and regular Frisbee to be equal? I've ridden two of each, and I think I felt it much more in both Afterburners. Not that the Frisbees weren't as good, it just seemed that the spinning was more intense on the Afterburners.

In any case, they're my two favorite flat rides, so I'm just dying for the chance to ride the Giant version. Those pics are awesome, and I bet they don't even do the ride justice. Opening day can't get here fast enough!! :)

I agree, I felt the Afterburner was a far more intense ride. The Frisbee is still a more intense ride than the Gyro Spin, though.
