Delgrosso's Zyklon

At least it appears that the Zyklon has found another home. From what I heard, it was announced at Coaster Bash this weekend that it's heading to Blue Diamond Park in New Castle, DE. This info is also now listed on RCDB.

Looking forward to visiting the Zyklon at it's new home,

Wait...I we missed a park in Delaware? Bass is gonna be pissed! ;)

I'm glad I had a chance to ride the Zyklon on Delgrosso's this past summer. I made a quick stop on the way to Kennywood. The back seat on that ride provides some great airtime!

Although, Delaware is closer to me than Pennsylvania here in Virginia.

Evedentally, Blue Diamond is a brand new park, it is only opening its amusement section this year.

From their website:

"Encompassing three acres of the Blue Diamond Park, the Amusement area will host several permanent rides, rotated on a regular basis, maintaining excitement for our customers."

OK...how can rides be permanent and yet rotated? Unless they mean operated on rotation as it pertains to staffing.

They may mean that they are not trailored rides, they will have foundations and such, but new rides will be rotated in regularly. That was my thinking when I read that.

Sounds reasonable to me.

The DelGrosso's PR guy (I'm blanking on his name right now) was hysterical. During his presentation, he showed one slide of the Zyklon coming down in the dead of winter. "The three warmly bundled men on the left are DelGrosso's employees. The freezing shivering guys in jeans on the right are the guys from Delaware who weren't prepared for our weather..."

"You seem healthy. So much for voodoo."

It is good that this coaster found a home, it isn't a bad ride. And the cool thing for me is, it is the first coaster I will get to ride in two different places:)
