Del Mar Fair!

For those of you in the San Diego area through the 4th of July, check out the Del Mar fair. I was overwhelmed by the sheer number of rides. Just about every ride imaginable...and 6 or 7 fun houses to boot. On top of that, 3 coasters! The Looping Star (a little painful), Wild Maus (spinning mouse that was quite fun), and the Hi Miler (see comments below).

Yes, the Hi Miler was well worth it! I would imagine it was built by Miler. It has steep drops and VERY sharp turns. Rickety as all heck. I was coming out of my seat on just about every drop. Wow! And the layout is unique and green color quite pretty.

Question: Does anybody know who manufactured the three coasters mentioned? Schwarzkopf, Mack, and Miler??? The first doesn't seem quite right...but perhaps built by a company that he was affiliated with at one point?

PS...I want the Hi Miler for my back yard! I'm going to check my Lottery numbers right now! If I win, y'all are invited! :)

Forget about it. It can't be THAT bad! *** This post was edited by janfrederick on 6/25/2001. ***
Spinning Mouse: Reverchon (almost the same layout as The Exterminator at Kenywood.)

Looping Star: Pinfari (crap)

Hi-Miler: Well, Mr. Miler, of course! (great little coaster!)

I also enjoyed the Del Mar Fair, but I'm STILL trying to get my equilibrium back from that Hard Rock spinny ride almost a week later!
Lopping Star is awesome! The ride had like no line eithier! That fair has almost every flat Imanginable they even have a motion simulator.

Hey thanks! I agree with you totally. You have the option of getting spun in just about any direction conceivable. I'm not that big a fan of the flat rides, but the large ferris wheel with the view of the ocean is unbeatable. I'll be returning just to ride the Hi Miler.

BTW...Would you know the year Hi-Miler was built"? Also, know of any links to the company site?
