DEJA VU POSTPONED AT THE MOUNTAIN?

LOT OF PEOPLE ARE SAYING IT WONT OPEN TILL THE BEGINING OF JUNE. WHY IS THIS?
From the FAQ:

THERE IS NO NEED TO SHOUT, we can hear you just fine. Please utilize your shift and caps lock key properly.

-------------
There are currently 11 coasters with the name Batman, 8 with the name Superman and 22 with the name Boomerang. Batman and Superman: The Ultimate Chiller Knight Flight Krypton Escape Ride.
Please use the cap lock button. Thankyou.
If Deja-Vu opens in the beginning of June that would only be delayed by about a week because the scheduled opening is the end of May.

I called the mountain after I saw this and the representative (ANGEL:>)) told me that Deja Vu IS opening up on May 25'Th. She is a really good friend of mine and she wouldn't tell me a lie. Trust me. X HAS GONE VERTICAL!
I dunno tonight[friday] is the 11th the ride has to have a lift installed and the train. I think this will all be done by this weekend. Testing is going to take a while but May 24 is the big day that the press will see the ride. They would not want to rescudeule that!
They were going to do a special promo on the 24th and had contacted ACE about getting some people in for it. ACE was notified two days ago that the promo was postponed due to the fact that it was nowhere near ready. *** This post was edited by Dutchman on 5/12/2001. ***
Well I don't believe this b/c the ride id complete all that's left to do is the station and pave the walkway. There is an update over at www.twistedrails.com showing the lift cables installed and workers working on tighting up bolts and things on Deja vu. I don't think there is a problem if the problem is all ready installed and the problem was suppose to be the cable lift system.

Anyway head on over and check for yourself the updat is great, SFMM has started the lift hill on X and it looks great very steep and colorful lol
Rob4420, just because it looks complete doesn't mean it's ready for the public. Electrical work, installing computer systems, and then the oh so important testing takes time.

Well said Peabody. I try to tell this to many people I know, but they are not smart enough to comprehend that it takes more to run a coaster than the small control board in the station with the nice green button and the big bad red button, plus 3 other weird pointless buttons (which I know are not, but they don't.) If it is delayed, so what? It will be there for many years! You will get to ride it then, and this summer! Patience is a virtue... lacked by many. Same with the ability to comprehend things.

V2, Deja Vu... how can it be better? Add Viper! Oh, wait. It's already there!
Too much Rollercoaster Tycoon. The real thing is not that easy...

Too much is simply NOT ENOUGH...

Because SFMM slacks in building most of their rides. Take a look at the speed they built Goliath vs. the speed they built Titan. Maybe it's a Californian thing, but they just do not seem to get in much of a hurry. It's taken them quite a while to even start building X.

Well that's BS. Goliath wasn't there one weekend I went, and practiclly done the next. Goliath was the second fastest coaster they have made so far I think. The Riddlers Revenge took less than 3 months TOTAL to finish and open. Californians DO NOT lack in the speed of building a coaster. Plus X has taken so long to start vertical construction because it's a F****N all new type of coaster that has never been built before. They have to make sure EVERYTHING is all right to build!
listen hear ******* I know that it takes more to run a coaster then a red and green button. Then reason I say I don't believe Deja Vu will be post poned is b/c while at SFMM the construction crew was hanging the cable lift on the second tower the first tower already has the cable lift installed. So if the cable is to short then why in the hail is SFMM installing it anyway? I don't think SFMM would be trying to install a cable that was to short so I think this whole rumor is a lie.

P.S.

The reason why it's taken so long for SFMM to start construction is b/c Cali got a lot of rain this year. SFMM could not of built footers while it was raining so it held up construction. Then They had to let the ground stiffen up abit to start the ground work if you have seen the X site then you know that it sits on a platue so I am sure they didn't want heavy equipment on the side and on top of a rain soaked hill side. Then they had to make the footers for X huge, they have to be able to support this massive new prototype ride and it also has to be built to the California Earthquake Standards.

So it was all the problems due to weather/ground work that held up the vertical construction of X, Now that the ground work is finished X is going vertical at a very rapid rate. SFMM is assembling another crane so they will have 3 cranes on the site very soon, I think X will be complete by the end of June hopefully open by the end of July early August. *** This post was edited by rob4420 on 5/13/2001. ***
It took longer to build Goliath than titan simply because Goliath was the first of a kind. Also making a theamed staton takes a long time, and Goliaths theaming is WAY better than Titans.
Deja Vu at SFoG looked completled about 3 weeks ago when i went, the cable lifts were in and everything, but it's not even testing yet. Just give it some time.
