1.CBS- They didn't even go to SFGAm. They just showed the computer simulation of Deja Vu and said it would open Saturday.
2.NBC- They didn't go to SFGAm either. They showed Deja Vu footage from SFMM. And also said it will open on Saturday.
3.WGN- Once again they didn't go to SFGAm. They also showed SFMM footage of Deja Vu and said it was going to open Saturday.
4.ABC- They actually went to the media day. It was the best one. They showed on ride footage at SFGAm and talked to an ACE member.
I remember for V2's media day they actually had people from the TV stations ride V2. I remember WGN and NBC had on ride footage and showed the person riding the ride. For Deja Vu, only ABC went to the media day. None of the TV stations had a person ride it or showed a person riding it. Does anyone know why Deja Vu's media day was broadcasted differently?

V2 can't be compared to any of the rides in SFGAm!The Vertical Drop was amazing!

Anyway, the coverage difference might be as Pat K said that there is just so much other news around. But my gut feeling is that it's not as big of a deal because the summer is over. In the Chi area, amusement parks are really only a summer pastime. V2 opened Memorial Day weekend, which is unofficially, the beginning of summer. People are interested in parks then because it a "summer thang" to do. However now it's the fall, the park will close in a few weeks so how many people really give a rats rumpshakah?!?
