Deja-Vu at SFGAm now testing and funny moment.

Just to confirm that this past Saturday they were testing DV on and off all day. I sat there in awe watching the train go through the circuit and couldnt help but say Damn when it came to the train going backwards into the Cobra Roll. It seemed to crawl through that element. I thought it wasnt going to make it.

The funny moment was when I was near the American Eagle. The train on DV went through the circuit again and about 10 people saw it running. They were yelling at eachother saying "ITS OPEN, ITS OPEN"!! and proceeded to haul booty towards the ride. I was going to say something to them but decided "Nah"!! I will let them figure it out when they get to the entrance all winded and out of breath. I couldnt help but laugh.

I would love to see the faces of the people when they get to the ride. I would love to laugh at them.

Why would they run to the ride if they don't see anyone on the train?

And if the ride was open, it would be all over the local news.

Stupid GP, when are they ever "gonna" learn ;)

Stealth , maybe they just saw the train from way across the park and just got excited and thought it was open. Or maybe they were jsut stopping through the city and went to SFgam, even thoguh they're not from around here or something, saw it closed when they came in then got excited that it was open. Or maybe they were just stupid GP. Logical explintaion , don't you think? ;)
That's odd. I've heard things about SFoG and SFGAm's Déjà Vu that they maneuver the "Butterfly Turn" (cobra roll) very slowly during testing phases while the SFMM one literally BLASTS through it both forward and backward when it tested. Maybe it DOES have to do with the height reference each park listed their coasters as -

SFGAm - 178 FT

SFoG - 177 FT (Before they copied & pasted the SFMM Déjà Vu info onto their own site)

SFMM - 196 FT

Yeha that happend to me to Chitown . When I was there some girls asked a worker if it was open and they were standing right by it! Stupid GP hahahaha

They are all the same hieght. The reason SFMM's is 196 ft and the others are only 178 ft is becuase MM's is on different terrain. All three drop from 178 ft.

You need to submit this to the news section. You should know that by now.

it hate how the GP says the back goes faster and it doesnt
The back does go faster, instead of crawling over the drop like in the front you get whiped over it in the back its all momentum really.  Anyhow its good to hear its finally testing on that making of the coaster show they said that most coasters go through the first test runs slowly.

3. V2 (SFGAm)
4. Viper (SFGAm)
5. Cornball Express /Raptor

TR please.
I was there today, and didn't see it test.  I didn't get there till after 5, but would be surprised if anyone was there doing any sort of testing on a Sunday.  Was anyone else at the park today?
The reason I didnt submit it in the news section is because its my own word of mouth. I cant find any link to support the testing on Saturday(even though most news media wont post this as news). It was however testing. The other reason is since the other 2 have already opened to the public, this news is pretty much stale so saying it in the General Buzz I fealt was the appropriate place.

To the other that asked for a TR? I am not posting one because I have already done it twice this season with this park and because I had my daughter with me who could only get on Eagle, Viper, Whizzer, and Demon. Thats all I could ride also as far as coasters go.

I stopped by and watched Deja Vu test on Sunday.  It does go through the cobra roll slowly on the backwards trip.  On the loop, the south side has what looks like trim brakes on it going halfway up the loop.  When the train went through the loop backwards, there was a sound like the trim brakes were working.  Did anyone else notice this?  Could this be the reason for the slow backwards trip?
